Instagram Reels now allow you to record videos up to one minute long — double what it used to be. They offer lots of options for editing tools so you can have fun with your videos and use multiple filters, video clips, stickers, interactive backgrounds, captions, and more.

Why use Instagram Reels? Because if they’re successful, it’s likely they’ll end up on the Explore page — a place where new users can discover your business. Here are five ways you can use Reels to get more exposure to new users and engage current users:

  1. Feature your products

If someone stumbles upon your content, show them what you have to offer! Focus on the benefits of your products or services.

  2. Educate your followers

This is a great way to start. Help your followers learn a new skill that relates to what you can offer them — “Five Key Terms in the Housing Market You Should Know,” “Our Best Tips for Keeping Your Skin Moisturized,” “How to Save $2,000 in One Month,” etc.

  3. Showcase your latest deals and offers

Lots of big brands do a great job of announcing their latest sales or exclusive offers without sounding too sales-y. Try it for your account and see how much more traffic you get!

  4. Try Instagram Reels ads

Reels ads now gives you a brand-new way to reach your targeted audience while they’re scrolling. Since June 2021, you can choose Reels as a placement for your Instagram ads with any of these six advertising objectives: brand awareness, reach, traffic, app installs, video views, and conversions.

  5. Share behind-the-scenes content

Authenticity with your audience will always help you gain their trust. Remind them that behind the screens there are real people working hard to help them.

Don’t try to make perfect videos — focus on originality and fun. Try using music and different effects to help you stand out among the crowd. You’ll get higher engagement and buy-in from new and existing followers!
